OpenPHT is a free, open-source Plex client by Team OpenPHT that preserves the classic Plex Home Theater experience for TVs and home theater PCs. Forked from Plex Home Theater and built on the Kodi/XBMC codebase, it offers a fast, native 10-foot interface with smooth, hardware-accelerated playback and direct play/direct stream support. OpenPHT integrates with Plex Media Server so you can browse libraries, switch users, and access your media at home or remotely with rich metadata, artwork, and subtitles. It runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux and supports common remote controls and HDMI-CEC on compatible hardware, making it a couch-friendly front end for Plex in the living room.
